Internal alpha
Hosted support control works; Windows installation/use, durable access posture and update recovery remain release gates.
Public surface A small, visible support agent. Install once, choose when O+K can help, and keep a local OFF switch.
Hatch establishes a manageable presence on a computer so authorized Owl + Kestrel operators can inspect it, run commands, transfer files and bootstrap other O+K software. Hatch provides the foothold; Fledge owns software updates. Neither is a mesh or a job scheduler.
Installation does not grant remote access. Hatch starts OFF, and you choose Allow O+K Access locally before support can operate as your current OS user. Pause refuses new work and cancels tracked commands; it does not undo completed changes or disable independently installed tools.
This is an internal alpha, not a production remote-administration release. The Mac download is signed and notarized. The Windows executable installer is unsigned, and successful native Windows installation and operation are not yet verified. Consult the download page for the current build, known issues and exact platform evidence.
Optional setup diagnostics report installation stages and fixed error codes before the receiver is ready. Declining diagnostics does not block installation. Keep the support ID shown on a failure; no heartbeat alone is not a diagnosis. The Windows installer includes an uninstaller, and access remains controlled on the computer.
